Job summary

Melmark is seeking an ABA Counselor- Special Education Overview to educate and support individuals with autism and related disabilities in a structured classroom setting. The role emphasizes behavioral supports, data collection, and adherence to individualized plans.

Responsibilities include crisis response, teaching plan implementation, and assisting with daily living skills while maintaining a safe, supportive environment for children and adolescents aged 5–22.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; Minimum requirement of 50 College Credits.
• A valid US driver’s license and minimum age 21; must attain Melmark driver status.
• At least 1 year experience with specialized populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains LOS for assigned individuals at all times.
• Implements procedures in each individual’s BSP/Protocol Summary; collects data.
• Responds during crises using approved crisis management techniques.
• Implements Teaching Plans and collects data during sessions.
• Assists with hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs of individuals.
