Job summary

Intercept Health is seeking an ABA Child Behavior Specialist in Virginia to work part-time within a center-based program. You will support and implement individualized plans to decrease unsafe behaviors and increase communication and social skills under supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Qualifications include at least a high school diploma and a current RBT credential or completion of a 40-hour IH training, competency assessment, and exam within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma and experience with children.
• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential in good standing; or complete IH’s 40-hour class, competency assessment and exam within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement an individualized plan based on client targets and goals.
• Observe client skills and collect data to assess progress and develop program goals.
• Work with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism or other developmental disabilities in a center-based program.

This position is Part Time only

$19.50 - $24.50 per hour depending on experience, education, & certification.
$15.00 per hour training rate

As a child behavior specialist, you will be responsible for support and implementation of an individualized plan based on the client's targets and goals with a focus on decreasing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills while receiving support from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will work with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in our center based program that promote language, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.

Education and Experience Required:

The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous experience working with children. Must possess a current registered behavior technician credential in good standing; or complete a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam to become a registered behavior technician within 6 months of hire (IH provides training compensation during this time). Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus! Must have afternoon availability until 6 P.M.
