Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Behavioral Technician to work under a BCBA or Behavioral Consultant. You will deliver one-on-one and small group instruction using ABA to reinforce skills for students with autism in classroom and home settings.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year associate degree or 48 credit hours toward a degree.
• Autism-related major preferred.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Registered Behavioral Technician license with Ohio Psychology Board; obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group instructions per programs.
• Use ABA techniques to develop skills in recreation, communication, and socialization.
• Reinforce behaviors with positive supports.
• Train and mentor new staff on ABA techniques.
• Collect data and write anecdotal progress notes.
• Prepare learning environment and materials.
• May travel to student homes for generalization.
• Participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety of all individuals.
