Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Therapist Trainee in Culver City, CA. This entry-level position prepares candidates to become Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). The role involves direct implementation of treatment plans under supervision, focusing on children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
The candidate will complete a 40-hour training course and a competency assessment to achieve certification. Post-certification, the role transitions into a regular Behavior Therapist position with increased responsibilities and compensation.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $18.47/hour while training for certification; $22/hr once certified.
Program Hours: Based on Clients’ Needs: Mon – Fri 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

This position prepares the candidate to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), also known as a Behavior Therapist. A Behavior Therapist (RBT) is a paraprofessional who implements behavior change interventions under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. A Registered Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for direct 1:1 implementation of treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction as well as data collection procedures. Skills targeted typically include communication, social, and daily living skills along with any other skills which make a socially significant change in the child’s individual, family, and community life. A behavior therapist also provides support, feedback on session structure and practicality of program implementation. Children served vary in ages and are mostly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
Complete the traineeship requirements successfully (95 hrs.) within 6 months; acceleration is determined by supervisor and documented in Traineeship Agreement. Demonstrate ability to implement behavior plans with fidelity, collect data and daily notes documenting child’s progress, and work with supervisor (give and receive feedback) on program implementation.
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Experience: Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, teaching, psychology, mental health, or related fields. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred.
