Verbal Beginnings is a leading ABA therapy provider seeking a Part-Time ABA Technician for our in-person centers in Kentucky. You will implement ABA plans designed by a supervising BCBA, collect data, and collaborate to ensure high-quality care for each child.

We provide comprehensive training, sponsor your path to becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and offer a professional, supportive environment with growth opportunities. Hours vary by center needs.

Overview

Verbal Beginnings | ABA Centers | Part-Time

Location: ABA Centers (in-person)

Compensation: $23-$29 per hour (based on experience and RBT certification)

Part-Time (Full-Day) Scheduling: Schedules are Monday–Friday. Candidates must maintain availability for either A or B Block:

• A Block: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• B Block: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Part-Time (Half-Day) Scheduling: Schedules are Monday–Friday. Candidates must maintain availability for either A or B Block within their selected shift:

• Morning (AM): A Block 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | B Block 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Afternoon (PM): A Block 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. | B Block 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Hours are not guaranteed and may vary based on center/client needs.

Responsibilities

The Part-Time ABA Technician position at the Verbal Beginnings Center involves providing ABA therapy to clients at the Verbal Beginnings Center, while living out our Pledge of Care and VB Pack Values: Passion, Accountability, Celebration & Kindness. All ABA Technicians are expected to engage professionally and responsibly within the organization.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

• Implement individualized, evidence-based ABA treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA to address each child's unique goals.
• Collect and record precise data to track each child's progress and inform ongoing treatment updates.
• Collaborate closely with your clinical supervisor to ensure consistent, high-quality care for every child.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and your fellow team members.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping children with autism reach their goals
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team

Preferred

• Associate's Degree in healthcare or core science
• 1-6 months of related experience working with children with Autism
• Previous experience in ABA Therapy
• 40-hr RBT course completed prior to start date

Certification Note

Applicants who are not yet RBT-certified must complete the RBT coursework and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. We actively support you through this process — ask us how!

Physical Demands

Regularly required to perform activities such as reaching, grasping, walking briskly or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, ascending and descending stairs, and transitioning quickly between standing, sitting, and other positions (e.g., floor, chair, or other surfaces) throughout the day.
2. Ability to interact effectively by speaking clearly, using age-appropriate language, and observing and maintaining attention through verbal and non-verbal communication
3. Successful completion of Safety Care training and Re-Certifications, which includes carrying children per Safety Care training. Active participation in Safety Care is a condition of employment.
