Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC seeks an ETL Developer to design, develop, test, and support ETL solutions using Ab Initio. You will work onsite five days a week in Maryland, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data integration.

The ideal candidate has strong Unix/Linux, SQL, and database experience (DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Greenplum) and a proven track record building high-volume data pipelines and optimized ETL workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting ETL solutions using Ab Initio.
• Hands-on expertise with Unix/Linux, SQL, data mapping, and relational database integration.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting ETL solutions using Ab Initio.
• Hands-on expertise with GDE, Co>Operating System, Express>IT, DQE, Continuous Flows, and S3 utilities.
• Strong Unix/Linux, SQL, data mapping, and relational database integration experience.
• Experience with DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Greenplum.
• Experience building batch and real-time ETL interfaces, audit/reconciliation frameworks, and automated data-loading workflows.
• Strong experience processing high-volume data and optimizing ETL performance.
• Experience with ETL lifecycle management, code migration, automation, monitoring, and production support.
• Strong technical documentation, stakeholder communication, troubleshooting, and knowledge-transfer skills.

Preferred

• Agile development methodologies.
• Data warehousing, star schema, and snowflake schema.
• Automated unit testing, TDD, continuous integration, and performance analysis.
• Large-scale enterprise data migration and integration.
• Federal or public-sector experience.
