Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Hartford, CT seeks an experienced professional as a liaison between business and technical teams. This role requires strong communication skills, expertise in DW/BI and ETL tools, particularly Ab Initio, as well as a solid background in project lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and must possess at least 5 years in DW/BI and ETL projects. Travel may be necessary as part of the management consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with DW/BI and ETL tools.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in Ab Initio Projects.
• At least 7 years of experience in project lifecycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects.
• At least 7 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects and IT

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to define requirements.
• Document and analyze required information and data.
• Assist testing team to define test conditions relevant to project requirements.
• Communicate risks and system issues to the Project Manager and development team.
• Understands and communicates the direction, structure, and requirements for each project
• Understands the processes and specifications of each assigned system
• Documents and analyzes required information and data
• Prepares detailed requirement specifications (functional and non-functional), wire frames, use cases, and business process recommendations
• Understands the direction, structure, and requirements for each project from the business line side and communicate them to the development and testing staff
• Assists the testing team to define test conditions relevant to the project requirements
• Contributes in development of complete accurate test plans and testing efforts throughout the duration of the project
• Effectively communicates risks and system issues to the Project Manager and development team
• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
• Participates in architectural analysis and source to data mapping if required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with business and IT community.
• Strong Knowledge of Dimensional Modelling, DW architecture, ETL Frameworks, Design and Development using Ab Initio, Best Practices and Troubleshooting
• Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting
• Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts
• Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience in Insurance domain
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel

At least 7 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects and IT
