Aloha Air Cargo is seeking a security professional to help protect employees, vendors and customers and to deter damage to company property at the Honolulu facility. The role includes patrolling, monitoring parking flow, and controlling access to the Airport Operations Area with a focus on safety and responsiveness.

The position requires drug screening, extensive background checks and a courteous, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid vehicle operator's permit to drive security vehicle.
• Ability to tolerate high noise conditions on in-facility tours and exposure to weather conditions on outside tours.
• Courteous manner in dealing with the public.

Responsibilities

• Makes scheduled tours of facility and grounds by vehicle or walking to ensure security, and watches for conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire, water leakage, spills etc.
• Reports to supervisor or police authorities any unusual or suspicious conditions detected.
• Reports to supervisor any incidence of visitor, driver, or employee actions which could result in injury or loss to company or employees.
• Monitors parking flow for customers and directs movement as required.
• Provide security at cargo gate and ensure proper ingress/egress of authorized personnel onto the Airport Operations Area (AOA).
• Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION

This position has a starting range of $18 - $24 per hour.
