Job summary

Manhattan Mechanical Services is seeking an A-Welder in Illinois to join our field and shop teams. The A-Welder will be certified in SMAW & GTAW, produce x-ray quality welds, and work under the Foreman with QA/QC to ensure quality.

Three to five years of pipe welding experience are required, along with NCCER certification and TWIC card verification. The role offers full-time hourly employment with pay up to $53.50 per hour, with safety training and opportunities for skill advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have three certifications for SMAW and GTAW welds as specified.
• Able to fabricate and install piping, including threaded, socket, and butt welds.
• Read WPS/WPQ documents and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Produce x-ray quality welds according to site standards.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Identify and mitigate hazards.
• Familiar with pipe cutting and beveling operations.
• Read piping isometric drawings, weld maps, blueprints, and P&IDs.
• Install piping and supports; build pipe hangers.
• Participate in health, safety, quality and environmental processes.
