Job summary

Heartland Tire is seeking an A- Tech to assist in directing junior technicians and perform inspections, diagnoses, and automotive repairs. You will handle preventive maintenance, tire service, and customer interactions in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires diagnosing engines, performing oil changes, and leading peers to ensure growth and quality service. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, twist, and crawl.
• ASE certifications and/or technical school degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful, friendly, and timely service to customers.
• Inspect, diagnose, and identify repairs in automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose, repair and assess engines.
• Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Road test vehicles.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians to assist in their growth and development.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend tires, parts, and services to Service Manager for customers.
• Work in a fast-paced, results oriented team environment.
• Treat teammates, customers, vendors with dignity and respect.

POSITION SUMMARY: The A- Tech Assists in directing junior technicians and functions as a skilled-level technician who can inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive repairs and preventive services.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide Helpful, friendly, and timely service to customers with a We Can Do That attitude.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and identifies repairs in automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Ability to diagnose, repair and assess engines.
• Changes oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Road test vehicles.
• Helps increase sales, improve store profitability, and reduces controllable expenses.
• Leads and mentors' junior technicians to assist in their growth and development.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommends tires, parts, and services to Service Manager for customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented team environment.
• Treats all teammates, customers, vendors with dignity and respect.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

Experience:

• Tire service: 5 years (Preferred)
