Job summary

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Instructors (A&P) to join our team in Houston. You will deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curricula and provide hands-on instruction to aspiring aircraft technicians in classroom and hangar settings.

We value experienced A&P mechanics who enjoy mentoring others and shaping the next generation of aviation professionals. A five-day paid instructor training program is provided, with a Monday–Friday day schedule and optional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred.
• FAA A&P certification/licensure is required.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment.
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.
• Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials.
