Everts Air is seeking an A&P Apprentice to assist in the maintenance of a fleet including MD-80s and DC-9 aircraft under the direct supervision of experienced mechanics. The role emphasizes on-the-job training hours and potential college coursework to qualify for an Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, with regular full-time hours and a standard M-F schedule. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug and background checks.
Job Summary:
The A&P Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of company aircraft, including Douglas MD-80s, Curtiss-Wright C-46s, Douglas DC-9, Douglas DC-6 and performing general hangar cleaning under the direct supervision of the assigned Mechanic or Repairman. The assigned A&P or Repairman will provide back-sign as proof of supervision, as per 14 CFR Part 43.3(d). A&P Apprentices are expected to accumulate substantial on-the-job (OJT) training hours or complete their own college coursework in order to test for an Airframe and/or Powerplant license. Payment for testing fees is available, subject to certain restrictions.
Compensation: Starting at $21.00 p/hr
Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM
