Job summary

Air Aviation, LLC is seeking a certified A&P Mechanic (Airframe and Power Plant) for an exclusive contract with potential direct hire after six months in Salinas, California. The position offers hourly pay of $45 and comprehensive expense coverage for travel and meals.

You will build and maintain fly-by-wire aircraft, perform maintenance and testing, document compliance with FAA and company procedures, and contribute to safety and reliability during flight testing.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A&P license required.
  • 2+ years of A&P Mechanic experience.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems.
  • Proficiency with a variety of tools.
  • Attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a fly-by-wire aircraft using shop and calibrated tooling including torque wrenches, crimping and stripping tools.
  • Perform developmental, experimental and production aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks; directing others as needed.
  • Marshall, charge, preflight, and maintain aircraft to minimize downtime and maximize availability.
  • Help create and carry out Flight Test maintenance policies and procedures including 5S, FOD, work orders, tool control, etc.
  • Follow maintenance safety policies and procedures for ground operations as part of Archers Safety Management System.
  • Provide plans and status updates to the Flight Test Maintenance Manager on assigned aircraft and projects.
  • Provide input on design and fabrication of novel air vehicles from a hands-on repairability perspective.
  • Maintain aircraft maintenance records required by FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and company policy.

What you’ll do

Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A&P license required
  • 2+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and how they operate
  • Proficiency with a variety of tools and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
