Job summary

Sierra West Airlines is seeking an A&P Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Toledo, Ohio. This hands-on role supports day-to-day flight operations across cargo and passenger services.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft, read manuals and FARs, and work in a dynamic, outdoor environment with travel as needed. Opportunities exist within our Part 145 repair station and affiliated operators.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Open to mechanics with limited experience eager to gain hands-on exposure in cargo and passenger operations.
• Passport or ability to obtain a passport within 60 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft.
• Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and required background checks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge.
• Willingness and ability to travel for aircraft recovery, support other bases, or meet operational needs.
• Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and occasional after-hours callouts as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform aircraft maintenance and repairs on B737, Lear 60, and SA227 aircraft in accordance with approved data.
• Read, analyze, and interpret maintenance manuals, technical procedures, electrical schematics, company policies, and applicable FARs.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform maintenance on ground support equipment as needed.
• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required.
• Support aircraft recovery efforts and maintenance needs across operating locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
