Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a skilled aircraft maintenance technician in Anchorage to perform planned and unplanned maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft over 12,500 lbs MEW. You will troubleshoot, repair, and certify engine runs and taxi operations, while maintaining meticulous AML records.

The role requires a current A&P license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Must determine aircraft system failures, troubleshoot and repair.
• Must use test equipment accurately.
• Must interpret and adhere to all aircraft manuals.
• Must attain engine run and taxi certifications as directed.
• Must attain aircraft tow operator certification as directed.
• Must complete all aircraft parts replacement procedures.
• Maintain and service aircraft systems in line or hangar environments.
• Must access electronic AML procedures and complete training modules.
• Must meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
• Must be aware of hazards and handle emergencies as needed.
• Must perform well under deadlines and pace with flight schedules.
• Must work with others as part of a team.
• Must communicate information in writing, verbally, or via radio.
• Provides friendly service and positive relationships with customers.
• Works cooperatively to ensure company success.
• Must operate in cramped spaces and adverse conditions.
• Must climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop as needed.
• Must adhere to security directives and obtain airport access.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs and maneuver heavy components.
• Must mentor new and inexperienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting at MX locations.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance per manuals and write accurate write-ups.
• Accept daily work release plan when no manager onsite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
