Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced A&P Licensed Aircraft Inspector to support aircraft maintenance and inspection operations in Waco, Texas. The role emphasizes airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and quality performance across maintenance activities.

The inspector will perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections per approved data, ensuring calibration, proper records, and adherence to FAA Directives and company standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aircraft maintenance and inspection experience.
• FAA certificated mechanic per FAR Part 65.
• Experience with Boeing 767, 747, 737 and Airbus A340/A330 preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail with safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections per approved data.
• Maintain knowledge of inspection methods, equipment, and calibration.
• Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and labeled with current dates.
• Interpret specifications involving tolerances and airworthiness requirements.
• Complete, review, and execute inspection records prior to return to service.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Monitor maintenance to ensure compliance with manuals and regulations.
• Report deficiencies to Chief Inspector or Director of Quality.
• Verify only trained technicians perform, sign, or stamp work cards.
• Maintain oversight of maintenance on assigned lines per manuals and safety rules.
• Ensure materials and parts are allocated to correct job numbers.
• Communicate effectively in English, written and verbal.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by quality leadership.

STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced A&P Licensed Aircraft Inspector to support aircraft maintenance and inspection operations in Waco, Texas. This role is critical to ensuring airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and overall quality performance across aircraft maintenance activities.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Inspector is responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft and aircraft components. All inspection activity must comply with current technical data, Airworthiness Directives, FAA-approved practices, and internal quality standards.

This position reports to the Chief Inspector and or Director of Quality and provides continuous oversight to ensure regulatory compliance and proper maintenance execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with approved data and regulatory requirements
• Maintain working knowledge of inspection methods, techniques, equipment, tools, and inspection aids related to assigned tasks
• Ensure all inspection equipment and tools are properly calibrated and clearly labeled with current calibration dates
• Interpret and apply specifications involving tolerances, limitations, and airworthiness requirements
• Properly complete, review, and execute inspection and maintenance records prior to return to service
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of foreign object debris
• Monitor maintenance activities to verify work is performed in accordance with company standards, manuals, and regulatory requirements
• Immediately report deficiencies, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the Chief Inspector or Director of Quality
• Verify only properly trained and authorized technicians perform, sign, or stamp work cards
• Maintain continuous oversight of maintenance activities on assigned lines to ensure compliance with the Repair Station Manual and Safety Manual
• Ensure all materials and parts are allocated to the correct job and project numbers
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Perform additional duties as assigned by quality leadership

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance and inspection experience
• FAA certificated mechanic in accordance with FAR Part 65
• Strong working knowledge of FARs, DFARs, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins
• Hands-on experience and working knowledge of Boeing 767, 747, 737 and or Airbus A340, A330 aircraft preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
