Lynden Air Cargo in Alaska is seeking an experienced A&P Aircraft Mechanic to diagnose problems, determine solutions, and complete maintenance with or without supervision. The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication to ensure safe, reliable aircraft operations.

The essential duties include recording work, releasing airworthiness where authorized, and supporting maintenance on ground equipment, with opportunities for leadership and global travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of related training on type (Lockheed Martin C130/L382) may be required.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• FCC General Radio Telephone Operator License and/or NCATT AET is desirable.
• Current US Driver's License and US Passport required.
• Heavy aircraft structures experience or Lockheed Martin C-130/L-382 experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 6 months per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform work per Lynden Air Cargo policies, procedures, and CFRs.
• Record all maintenance on required forms per GMM and policy.
• Work under supervision or lead mechanics as qualified.
• Identify abnormal conditions and report to supervision.
• Perform airworthiness release when authorized.
• Maintain ground support equipment and assist/train others as needed.
• May travel globally to support the fleet and may act as Lead Mechanic when qualified.
