Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking locum tenens surgeons to support adult, pediatric, and neonate general surgery cases. The assignment involves 8–10 patients per 24-hour call shift with a 30‑minute response time, covering laparoscopic, OB/GYN, breast, and head/neck procedures as available.

ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required. Paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and 24‑hour consultant access are provided.

Qualifications

• ACLS/ATLS/BLS/PALS certifications required.
• Experience in adult, pediatric, and neonate general surgery is preferred.
• Surgical skills across laparoscopic, OB/GYN, breast, and head/neck helpful.

Responsibilities

• Handle call shifts up to 10 days per month with 30-minute response time.
• Care for adult, pediatric, and newborn general surgery patients.
• Utilize laparoscopic and specialty surgical techniques as needed.
• Coordinate with Weatherby consultants for dates and details.

• Call ratio 1:3 -- 30-minute response time required
• 8 - 10 patients seen per 24-hour call shift

• GI endoscopy and trauma experience preferred
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
