Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a psychiatrist for an adult inpatient psychiatry unit in Christiansburg, VA. The assignment includes a Monday–Friday schedule with weekday hours, plus one weekend per month and one night per week on call.

Typical census is 10–12 patients per day, with weekend rounding alongside a resident and urgent backfill coverage as needed. A 12-month minimum commitment is requested, and paid malpractice insurance plus prepaid travel and housing are provided.

Job description

• Mon - Fri, 8 am - 5 pm; 1 weekend/month; 1 night/week on call
• Census of 10 - 12 patients per day per psychiatrist
• Adult inpatient psychiatry unit
• Weekend rounding alongside a resident

• Approx. 1 - 2 admits/discharges per day per psychiatrist
