Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare offers locum tenens staffing and supports physicians with hospital networks across the country. Shifts include 12-hour days (7am–7pm) and 24-hour shifts (7am–7am) with 8–20 patients per shift and 3–5 admissions per 24 hours. System-wide EGS call coverage exists across three hospitals.

Assignments are EGS only, with no trauma. Requirements include laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy and hernioplasty; preferred are chest tube insertions and vascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Required: laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty.
• Preferred: chest tube insertion, vascular and peripheral vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cover EGS cases across three hospitals.
• Provide laparoscopic and general surgery duties as assigned.
• Participate in system-wide call coverage and shift scheduling.
