Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking an experienced gastroenterologist to provide inpatient GI coverage in North Carolina. The assignment includes weekday shifts and a monthly weekend call, with procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, cautery, variceal injection and PEG required.

ERCP is not required. The role offers paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses, with 24-hour access to a Weatherby consultant for support.

Qualifications

• Inpatient gastroenterology coverage required.
• Upper GI endoscopy, cautery, variceal injection, and PEG required.

Responsibilities

• Cover inpatient gastroenterology shifts Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–4:30 pm (one week per month).
• Weekend call Fri 4:30 pm – Mon 7:30 am, once per month.
• Be available for beeper calls with a 15–30 min response time.
