Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a physician for in-house call coverage in Davis, CA. The role covers 12-hour shifts, with nights predominating and some day availability, serving 10–25 patients per shift and handling multiple obstetric and gynecologic cases.

The assignment emphasizes deliveries, C-sections, and GYN emergencies, with paid malpractice insurance, and pre-paid travel and housing. A Weatherby consultant is available 24/7 for support.

Qualifications

• Experience handling obstetric deliveries and gynecologic emergencies.
• Ability to manage high-acuity obstetric cases during night shifts.
• Familiarity with in-house call responsibilities and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house obstetric coverage during 12-hour shifts, primarily nights.
• Manage deliveries and cesarean procedures as needed per shift.
• Respond to GYN ED calls and perform GYN surgeries when required.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure patient safety and timely care.
