Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare invites physicians to join our locum tenens network in California, delivering flexible assignments with comprehensive support. You will provide Fri-Sun on-call coverage, 24-hour response, and care for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including complex head and neck procedures as needed.

You'll access paid malpractice insurance, pre-paid travel and housing, and dedicated Weatherby consultants to simplify assignments, scheduling, and time entry through

Qualifications

• On-call coverage Fri-Sun with 24-hour response time.
• Inpatient and outpatient coverage required.
• Surgical, endoscopic, and head/neck procedures as needed.
• Bronchoscopy, laryngoscopy, tracheotomy and thyroidectomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage Fri-Sun with 24-hour response.
• Treat adult patients (18+) in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assist with surgical and endoscopic procedures as required.
• Document assignments and time entries in the online portal.

• Fri - Sun, 8 am - 5 pm -- 9hr shifts, 3 times per month
• Call coverage: Fri, Sat, Sun -- 7 am to 7 am (24hr)
• Call response time: 15 - 20 minutes
• Adult patient population -- ages 18 and up
• 0 - 3 average patients seen while on call
• Both inpatient and outpatient coverage required
• Surgical, endoscopic, and complex head and neck procedures required
• Bronchoscopy, laryngoscopy, tracheotomy, and thyroidectomy skills preferred
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
