Job summary

Flexjet LLC in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team at the Flexjet facility. The role focuses on evaluating and analyzing maintenance data to drive continuous improvement in aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, operating costs, and owner satisfaction.

The candidate will collect data from maintenance and engineering systems, perform statistical analysis, conduct root cause analysis, and present findings in TWG and CASS meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, or related discipline is required.
• Reliability analysis experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL is required.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
• Experience with VBA and Python is a plus.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills are essential.
• Ability to monitor trends and drive long-term reliability improvements.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of negative maintenance trends for root cause and develop corrective action recommendations.
• Analyze engineering and technical data from maintenance logs, service records, teardown reports, and shop findings to determine causes and trends.
• Collect data from maintenance systems and perform statistical analysis to monitor performance.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for events triggering performance alerts.
• Coordinate with internal teams and OEM/3rd party engineering to implement corrective actions.
• Present reliability metrics in TWG and CASS meetings.
• Monitor maintenance delays, cancellations, and in-flight incidents for trends.
• Reliability Engineer reports to the Reliability Manager.

The selected candidate will primarily focus on evaluation and analysis of maintenance data to drive continuous improvement in aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, operating costs, and owner satisfaction. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform analysis of negative maintenance trends for root cause and develop corrective action recommendations
• Analyze engineering and technical data from aircraft maintenance logs, aircraft service records, teardown reports, and shop finding reports to determine cause and failure trends
• Collect data from maintenance and engineering systems and perform statistical analysis to monitor and evaluate technical and operational performance
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for events when a variation to a performance standard has triggered an alert
• Coordinate between internal teams and OEM or 3 rd party engineering to implement corrective actions
• Present reliability metrics and findings in Technical Working Group (TWG) and Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS) meetings
• Monitor maintenance delays, cancellations, and in-flight incidents for trends and alerts
• Reliability Engineer reports directly to the Reliability Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, or related discipline or 2 years aviation maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Reliability analysis experience preferred
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power Bi, Tableau)
• Knowledge of VBA and Python languages a plus
• Must possess strong communication skills, be able to translate technical concepts in lay terms, and be comfortable speaking publicly
• Ability to monitor trends, identify recurring aircraft discrepancies and drive long-term reliability recommendations
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
• Ability to function effectively individually or as a team member.
• Successful candidate will be highly motivated individual and a self-starter who works effectively under pressure and within time constraints.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules.
