JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION

This is a remote position on a 24/7/365 behavioral health crisis response team. The Program Coordinator provides oversight of the day-to-day operations of crisis services staff who deliver telephonic, chat, text, follow-up, and dispatch services across multiple crisis lines. This role supports high-quality service delivery, staff performance, operational efficiency, and adherence to organizational policies and best practices while ensuring individuals in crisis receive timely, compassionate, and effective care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of crisis services staff, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and revise program procedures to ensure alignment with organizational standards, contractual requirements, and industry best practices in coordination with leadership.
  • Monitor program performance, documentation, and service outcomes to support quality improvement and operational effectiveness to report to leadership.
  • Collect, analyze, and report operational data to support internal leadership, external partners, and contractual reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to promote continuity of care and effective service coordination.
  • Support staff through hiring, coaching, training, performance monitoring, and ongoing professional development to maintain a competent and engaged workforce.
  • Assist with administrative and operational functions, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and other program needs.
  • Maintain scheduling to ensure adequate coverage needs while staying within budget restrictions.
  • Assist in administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain professional, culturally responsive, and person-centered interactions with community stakeholders, colleagues, behavioral health providers, hospitals, schools, and community organizations, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, case consultation, and required training, including ongoing competency development in crisis intervention best practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.
  • Knowledge of suicide assessments.
  • Skill in providing crisis intervention.
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately; provides excellent customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Years of Experience Two years of experience in crisis intervention, call center operations, or behavioral health services. Experience in a supervisory, shift lead, or team coordinator role.
