Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support DoD/AF security programs. You will implement security controls, conduct audits, manage ATO packages in eMASS, perform continuous monitoring, and coordinate incident responses.

This is an onsite role at Eglin AFB, FL, with standard M-F hours. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, BS (MS preferred) in a related field, DoW 8570.01-M/Security+ CE minimum, and the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• DoW 8140 / 8570.01-M certification (Security+ CE minimum).
• Ability to obtain a Secret DoW security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all phases of information systems/security programs with access to computers and data.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure secure operation and policy compliance.
• Develop, update, and manage ATO packages in eMASS; monitor systems and vulnerabilities.
• Implement NIST SP 800-53 controls and STIG/SRG guidance; coordinate remediation.
• Draft and maintain SSPs and POA&Ms; track RMF activities and incident responses.

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Under general direction, this role carries out all phases of information systems/networks security program that involves access to computers and computerized data enabling company to meet contractual requirements for networks security.
• Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
• Develop, update, and manage Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages. Navigate and maintain system records within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
• Execute continuous monitoring strategies. Review audit logs, analyze vulnerability scans, and verify system configuration baselines remain intact.
• Implement, enforce, and assess NIST SP 800-53 security controls. Apply and verify Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
• Utilize the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to scan for, identify, and coordinate the remediation of system vulnerabilities.
• Identify, report, and track cybersecurity incidents and data spills in accordance with USAF and DoW incident response directives.
• Draft, review, and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), continuous tracking of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and system-specific operating procedures.
• Deep understanding of the NIST RMF lifecycle, DoDI 8510.01, and USAF-specific guidance (e.g., AFI 17-101, Risk Management Framework for Air Force Information Technology).

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Level 2 - BS in applicable field and up to 3 years of experience
• Level 3 - BS in applicable field and 3-10 years of experience
• Level 4 - BS or MS in applicable field and 10+ years of experience
• Must maintain a DoW 8140 / 8570.01-M certification (Security + CE at the minimum).
• Must be able to obtain a Secret DoW Security clearance with active investigation. Must be able to maintain required clearance.
