Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DCID and JSIG physical security and IA for facilities within internal networks and guest systems.
• Maintain accreditation documentation for PS/IA programs.
• Conduct physical security actions (TEMPEST/TSCM) and support IA measures.
• Perform preconstruction reviews and provide guidance for facility changes.
• Assist IA Manager with implementation of the IA program and training.
• Prepare and maintain Certification and Accreditation documentation.
• Enforce personnel security controls for visitors and cleared personnel.
• Enforce physical security controls of electronic devices; conduct entry/exit inspections.
• Identify IA and physical security vulnerabilities and ensure JAFAN 6/9 compliance.
• Conduct IA and PS self-inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Review IA user access and refresher training; implement local media control policies.

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required; SCIeligibility required; SAP access eligibility required; must be willing toundergo a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.

Position Overview

This position provides physical security (PS) andinformation assurance (IA) support for collateral, SCI and SAP systems inaccordance with JSIG and other DoD and national guidance for facilities withinernal networks and guest systems.

Current Billet Requirements

• MANDATORY: 5-7 years related experience.
• Performance may include:
• Responsible to the Chief of Security forensuring compliance with DCID and JSIG physical security and IA requirementsand maintaining accreditation documentation
• Conduct or manage physical and technicalsecurity (TEMPEST/TSCM) actions and procedures
• Conduct preconstruction reviews and makesrecommendations for compliance with guidance for construction, expansion andmodifications of facilities
• Assist the Information Assurance Manager withimplementation of the information assurance program
• Author, review and maintain Certification andAccreditation documentation
• Assist with enforcement of personnel securitycontrols for visitors and un-cleared personnel requiring entry to the facility
• Enforce physical security controls of electronicdevices and prohibited items; conduct entry/exit inspections
• Identify IA and physical securityvulnerabilities and ensure JAFAN 6/9 compliance
• Conduct periodic IA & PS self-inspectionsand implement corrective actions
• Review, track and conduct IA new user andrefresher training
• Implement local media control policies andprocedures

Experience

• 5 - 7 years related experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area orequivalent experience (4 years)

Certifications

• Must meet position and certificationrequirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information AssuranceTechnician Level 1 within 6 months of the date of hire

Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• SCI eligibility required.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program(SAP) information.
• Must be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence(CI) polygraph.
