Job summary

National Guard unit seeks a Unit Supply Specialist to ensure soldiers are well supplied and equipped for missions. You will oversee shipping, storage, and supply of equipment, including receiving, inspecting, invoicing, storing, and delivering supplies.

Training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). You will learn weapons handling, inventory procedures, and warehouse operations while earning a paycheck and qualifying for tuition

Qualifications

  • Oversee shipping, storage and supply of Army National Guard equipment.
  • Awareness of weapon handling, inspection, invoicing and inventory processes.
  • Familiarity with maintaining organized documentation and automated systems.

Job description

As a Unit Supply Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will ensure that your Unit and fellow Soldiers are well supplied and equipped for any mission.

In this role, your keen eye and management ability will keep warehouse functions running smoothly. You will oversee the shipping, storage, and supply of Army National Guard equipment. This includes receiving, inspecting, invoicing, storing, and delivering supplies. You will: ensure that all documents are prepared and organized; maintain automated systems; secure and control weapons and ammunition; and schedule and provide maintenance for weapons.

Job training requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you learn basic Soldiering skills. Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions.
