DC Army National Guard is seeking candidates to train as Small Arms/Artillery Repairers. You will maintain electronic systems on weapons and prepare for a civilian career as an electronic/mechanical technician or avionics specialist through guard training and education programs.
You will receive paid training, a regular drill weekend paycheck, and access to tuition assistance and veteran benefits as part of this role.
Soldiers rely on their weapons to reign supreme on the battlefield. Working with everything from handguns and shotguns, to sniper rifles and ballistic missiles, the Small Arms/Artillery Repairer’s main responsibility is to maintain the electronic systems that keep these weapons firing for the Army National Guard.

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career as an electronic mechanic, an avionics technician, or a missile facilities repairer with firms that design, build, and test weapons for the military.

Job training for Small Arms/Artillery Repairers consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
