Sierra Vista Unified School District seeks an 8th-grade Math teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. The position is a K-8 teaching role within the district’s PreK-12 team, located in Arizona.

The educator will implement PBIS strategies, maintain confidential student information, and adhere to all district and state policies while engaging students in a standards-based curriculum. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid State teaching certificate, with opportunities for professional

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• State teaching certificate to include appropriate vocational certification and endorsements.
• Knowledge or willingness to receive PBIS training.

Responsabilidades

• Implement district philosophy and instructional goals.
• Guide learning toward curriculum objectives and communicate them to students.
• Assess students to determine progress and plan accordingly.
• Plan after identifying student needs and develop a program of study.
• Use instructional methods and materials to meet objectives.
• Diagnose learning disabilities and refer to specialists when needed.
• Evaluate student progress and provide reports as required by policy.
• Provide a conducive learning atmosphere and maintain records.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Uphold school rules and policies, and participate in meetings.
• Collaborate with staff on goals, objectives, and methods.
• Assist in selecting books and instructional equipment.
• Maintain cooperative relations and pursue professional growth.
• Engage with community affairs and support school initiatives.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Principal.
