Job summary

Onsted Community Schools is seeking a Boys 8th Grade Basketball Coach for Onsted Middle School in Michigan. The role supports the 8th-grade program, promotes academics, sportsmanship, and community engagement, and aligns with the district's varsity standards.

The coach leads student-athletes and assistants, follows MHSAA guidelines, and collaborates with administration to ensure safe, effective practices and competitive game preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a player and/or coach in basketball.
• Knowledge of basketball fundamentals and coaching techniques.
• Ability to represent the school district positively and lead student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct safe practices and develop individual and team skills.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director on schedules and game plans.
• Supervise athletes during practices and contests; promote sportsmanship and safety.
• Maintain records and communicate with families and administration.
• Support program alignment with district values and middle school athletics.
