Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Warehouse Associate to oversee product integrity from receiving to store shipment at the distribution center. You will ensure proper handling, quality and temperature standards, and accurate inventory through established processes.

Daily tasks include coordinating with drivers and unloaders, maintaining sanitation and safety, completing receiving, order and shipping steps, and contributing to a fast-paced team that delivers Fresh and Frozen foods to stores.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior warehouse experience helpful.
• Excellent attendance and work record required.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure order and inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Coordinate receiving and shipping for Fresh and Frozen foods with truck drivers and unloaders.
• Maintain quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage.
• Follow established inventory control practices to meet Meijer standards.
• Accurately complete receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Maintain building sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate 200% safety accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for complete product integrity during its stay at the distribution center, from the receiving process, through movement and storage within the warehouse, to final store shipment. Ensures that all all products appropriately handled, using knowledge of quality and temperature standards.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders while performing receiving and shipping processes for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Ensures quality and temperature standards for all products are maintained during a safe transfer and storage process.
• Follows established inventory control practices to ensure all Meijer standards are met.
• Accurately completes receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Ensures building sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Practices 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.
