There are many reasons to build your career at Carter's.**how you’ll make an impact:**The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining the Distribution Center daily using preventive and corrective measures ensure the safety of the facility. This role typically reports into the Manager/Supervisor Maintenance or Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in either our Braselton or Stockbridge, GA Distribution Center. * 75%: Daily Operations* Operate automated battery changer to replace batteries in powered industrial lifts including, but not limited to Order Pickers, Reach Lifts, Electric Pallet Jacks, Pacers, Clamp Lifts, Fork Lifts.* Check for adequate water in batteries, and place on charge.* Check water levels on assigned schedule and add water as needed.* Visually inspect batteries, tag, and report repairs that are needed.* Document tasks performed on a daily basis.* Ability to communicate verbally and through written communication with both peers, departments, and all levels of management.* Ensuring that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules.* Maintaining good housekeeping and working well with management, peers and subordinate employees to maximize productivity while minimizing employee conflict.
