St. Mary's of Landover Hills in Landover Hills, MD100 is seeking a dedicated 7th grade teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

The role is full-time and on-site, reporting to the Principal, with duties spanning planning, instruction, classroom management, and communication to families. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans aligned with Archdiocese standards, delivering a balanced instructional program, differentiating instruction, maintaining a grade book, and supporting Catholic

Qualifications

Current teaching certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn certification).
Knowledge of child development and supervision.
Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

Plan lessons aligned to Archdiocese standards and student needs.
Deliver instruction using a mix of direct, guided, and discovery learning methods.
Establish procedures and a positive classroom environment with high expectations.
Maintain grade books, communicate with parents, and provide timely progress updates.
Foster Catholic identity through religious instruction and liturgical participation.
Perform non-instructional duties and support school activities as required.
