Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents and stakeholders.
• Engages in continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies to promote critical and creative thinking in students.
• Implements instructional strategies reflecting student culture, learning styles, and needs.
• Establishes a positive learning environment and manages classroom discipline.
• Plan, align, implement, and evaluate instruction across environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, and community for improvement of classroom experiences.
• Integrates appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures and performs related duties.
