Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction

• Teach the subjects required in the curriculum and planned course documents as assigned by the high school principal in accordance with the district's proposed schedule
• Prepare and submit written lesson plans as a basis for the day's activities
• Perform such general building duties as prescribed by the high school principal and his/her assistants
• Provide supervision in the halls during the passing of classes
• Follow the procedure prescribed in the handbook in regard to fire drills, report cards, eligibility reports, failures, etc.
• Attend all faculty and department meetings
• Participate in all in-service and training activities
• Comply with requests and recommendations of the department chairpersons
• Plan and initiate parent-teacher conferences when desirable
• Contribute to the development of the annual instructional budget
• Perform such additional responsibilities as may be determined by the Board of School Directors and the district administration
