The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a full-time 7th-8th grade mathematics teacher for the Feltonville School of Arts and Sciences (7500). The position is represented by the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers (PFT).

Salary ranges from $55,771 to $97,852 depending on education and experience, with verification required for offer quotes. The teacher will plan and deliver mathematics instruction, align with state standards, and collaborate across disciplines while maintaining classroom

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and PA instructional certification or emergency permit path.
Endorsements in mathematics for grades 7-8 or eligibility to obtain them.
Ability to meet emergency permit requirements until certification is issued.
Knowledge of state standards, performance levels, and use of technology in instruction.

Responsibilities

Plans and teaches 7th-8th grade mathematics following district scope and sequence.
Uses real life applications and simulations to teach concepts and assessments.
Incorporates technology and software applications to develop lessons.
Maintains records, attendance, and grading; collaborates with staff across disciplines.
