Job summary

Woodgrain is hiring for a 7O-Puller in Fruitland, ID. The role is an hourly, full-time position with a 7:00 am–3:00 pm schedule, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

The 7O-Puller grades and stacks cut stock, places boards on pallets, bands units, and ensures accurate counts. Strong reading of a tape measure and teamwork are essential for success in this manufacturing environment.

• Good listening and communication skills.

• Ability to handle stress and pressure.

Starting Salary: $16.50

Employment Type: Hourly FT

Work Environment: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm with overtime including extended hours and Saturday as needed.

Job Summary:

The 7O-Puller is responsible for grading and stacking random lengths of cut stock as it comes off the line. 7O-Puller will stack boards on pallets for 2x4’s or longer lengths, band pallets, and check piece counts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Grade blocks of wood coming off of the line.
• Stack wood on pallets while keeping an accurate piece count.
• Band completed units.
• Communicate with the Tally when units are banded and ready to be tagged.
• Ability to work in and support other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
