Job summary

Coaching position for 6th Grade Intramural Girls Basketball at Sylvania. Season runs 10/27/26 through 12/11/26; regular practices and games scheduled after school, with duties including safety, skill development, and sportsmanship.

The coach will establish clear expectations for students and parents, coordinate with the Athletic Director, attend required meetings, and ensure compliance with district policies including anti-hazing.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching youth basketball preferred.
• Ability to communicate with students and parents.
• Commitment to a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Inform parents and students about activities and events.
• Attend required meetings and complete paperwork on time.
• Ensure student welfare and set level of competition; teach skills and strategy.
• Maintain discipline and foster morale within the program.
• Enforce no hazing policy per handbook.
