Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent as defined by FAC 6A-1.0503.

Responsibilities

• Help students master standards and meet state/local achievement requirements.
• Teach diligently using prescribed materials and technology-based instruction.
• Keep records and prepare required reports by law or administration.
• Maintain a valid Florida educator’s certificate as required by regulations.
• Perform duties necessary for effective instruction and coursework.
• Use prescribed materials and methods appropriately.
• Conform to policies and procedures of law and school boards.
• Deliver all keys, records and reports to the administrator when required.
• Administer prescription medication as assigned and per policy.
• Coordinate substitute arrangements with principal authorization.
• Conform to sexual harassment policies and codes of ethics.
• Adhere to Florida Education Profession conduct standards.
• Enforce Volusia County Codes of Student Conduct and related policies.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/Administrator.
