Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Appropriate Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certificate, Temporary Teaching Certificate, or valid out-of-state license for the subject.
• Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in education or in content areas (e.g. Math, Science).
• Preferred: Two years of urban teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes according to the school’s curriculum and texts.
• Provide timely and actionable feedback to students on assignments and assessments.
• Develop and implement lesson and unit plans to support instruction.
• Maintain a productive learning atmosphere and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with grade level/content peers to ensure a consistent student experience.
• Maintain student records and progress data as required by the school.
• Participate in professional development, team planning, and data analysis meetings.
