Job summary
Engadine Consolidated Schools is seeking an Elementary Teacher for 6th grade (part-time with potential for full-time) starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The district serves a small K-12 community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with class sizes around 20 students.
The role requires a Michigan teaching certificate, a valid elementary endorsement, and licensed to meet Highly Qualified standards. A comprehensive benefits package is offered and the position may include duties beyond standard
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education – Elementary Certification.
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- State licensing to meet Highly Qualified requirements.
- Previous classroom teaching experience in a comparable district is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests aligned with district curriculum.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Establish a classroom structure with positive relationships and clear objectives.
- Maintain records of student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
