The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida. These surveys ensure that all state licensed, and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements and patients and residents receive safe, quality health care.
Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities when emergencies such as natural disasters occur.
This position reports directly to the Field Office Manager of the Complaint and Incident Management Unit within the Bureau of Field Operations, Division of Health Quality Assurance.
This position is responsible for maintaining and complying with the state Complaint Management System.

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data.
Knowledge of basic computer skills with regard to word processing and e-mail systems and can effectively learn pertinent computer programs used in the Agency.
Possesses written, and verbal communication skills

Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 and four years of professional nursing experience required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 64B9-3.
