Job summary

Monroe County School District FL is seeking an Exceptional Student Education Psychologist to diagnose students with disabilities and participate in placement decisions. You will administer, score and interpret evaluations and collaborate closely with parents, students, staff and external agencies.

Applicant should communicate complex information clearly, and maintain knowledge of the various ESE programs and services offered.

Location: Northernmost Keys / Key Largo region

Duties: To diagnose students with disabilities accurately and to participate in the appropriate placement of students. Ability to administer, score and interpret various evaluation instruments. Ability to work effectively with parents, students, staff and other agencies in providing placement and other services appropriate for exceptional students. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and complex information clearly to others both in written and oral form. Ability to gain and maintain a working knowledge of the various programs and services for exceptional students.

Salary: Base Salary ranges from $62,700 to $104,700, commensurate with experience. Plus, a $10,000 annual School Psychologist supplement will be applied.

Leave: Teachers who start in August earn a total of 10 days of paid leave during the year.
