Job summary

Venture Community Services in Dudley, MA is seeking a Residential House Manager to oversee Direct Support Professionals, ensure the health and safety of individuals served, and run day-to-day residential operations.

The ARHM will advocate for adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, implement ISP plans, coach staff, and maintain a home-like environment while aligning with DDS mission. A degree and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with one year experience in human services.
• Must be 21+ years old, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, daily use of a car on site (preferred but not required) and be available by telephone for daily contact.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Direct Care staff.
• Development and implementation of ISP’s (Individualized Support Plans).
• Oversee house operations and services.
• Ensure a home-like environment for individuals living in the program.
• Knowledge, adherence, and implementation of the Agency policies.
• Ensure the program maintains the standard outline in the DDS Mission Statement.
• Maintains ongoing communication with parents, guardians, day programs, physicians, pharmacist, program directors, and funding sources.
• Coaches, trains, and develops high-performing work teams.
• Advocate and establish rapport with the disabled population, their families, co-workers, and service providers.

The Residential House Manager (RHM) is responsible for the supervision of all Direct Support Professionals working in their program, the health and safety of persons served, and the day-to-day operations of the residential site. The ARHM is responsible for advocating for and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Supervision of all Direct Care staff
