Thales Academy Raleigh is seeking a 5th Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The school combines Direct Instruction with a Classical Curriculum to foster rigorous, values-based learning and prepare students for higher education and life.

Responsibilities include implementing the approved curriculum with pacing guides and assessments, collaborating with teammates, and engaging in professional development while maintaining professional etiquette and strong home-school communication.

Qualifications

• High energy and organized with a passion for teaching children.
• Direct Instruction or other teaching experience preferred but not required.

• Cooperation - Working closely with other teammates to develop teaching skills.
• Collaboration - Participating in productive discussions including team planning meetings and sharing curriculum and instructional expertise.
• Professional Development - Engaging in offered professional development opportunities.
• Professional Etiquette - Acting in a professional manner in verbal and nonverbal communications while following established guidelines.
• Communication - Promoting communication between parents, community members and teammates, and working to establish and maintain home-school connections.
• Parental Involvement – Assisting in providing opportunities for parental/guardian involvement within the school.

Thales Academy Raleigh is accepting applications for a 5th Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year.
