Valid Ohio Teaching Certificate/License in the appropriate subject area or grade level(s). Substitute licensure is not accepted.

Essential Functions
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the designated locations and times.
- Plan a program of study that addresses individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
- Create a learning environment suitable for students' maturity and interests.
- Prepare for classes and provide evidence of preparation upon request.
- Design and implement meaningful, dynamic lessons daily.
- Address learning needs based on formative and summative assessment data.
- Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and establish clear learning targets.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and technology.
- Implement district philosophy and instructional goals.
- Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide detailed feedback.
- Help identify learning difficulties and seek district specialist assistance when needed.
- Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, policy, and regulations.
- Assist administration in implementing all policies governing student life and conduct.
- Make provision for being available to students and parents outside instructional time when required.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aides and volunteers when appropriate.

- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
