Cole Academy in East Lansing is hiring a Full Time Upper Elementary Teacher. The role requires teacher certification in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level, with a strong focus on literacy, student-centered instruction, and professional development.

The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing classroom, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in ongoing PD. Master’s degree is a plus and a commitment to MTSS and PBIS is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (or related field) is required.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level.
• Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in PD initiatives.
• Participate in school activities, meetings and events.
• Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment and effective communication with families.
