Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and SC teaching certificate in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered as acceptable by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the designated locations and times.
• Plans a program of study that meets student needs and state standards.
• Establishes clear objectives for class activities and communicates them to students.
• Uses varied instructional techniques and media suited to location and student needs.
• Maintains effective classroom management for a productive learning environment.
• Supports district philosophy and educational goals in daily instruction.
• Takes precautions to protect students, materials, and facilities.
• Keeps accurate records as required by policy and regulation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
