ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 5th-8th Grade Science Teacher at STEAM Academy of Warrensville Heights in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on delivering engaging science instruction and fostering student growth across academics and social-emotional development.

The candidate must hold an Ohio teaching license in the content area, have a bachelor3s degree in education, and thrive in a coaching-based environment with regular observations and progress monitoring.

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor3s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to work in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

About the Opportunity

• Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Perform other duties as assigned

About You

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $41,000 - 50,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
